The 2025-26 Daido Life SV.LEAGUE Round 8 GAME 1 was held on Saturday, December 27, at Ookini Arena Maishima (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), where OSAKA BLUTEON (hereinafter referred to as Bluteon) faced the Suntory Sunbirds Osaka.

[Set 1]
Although the team conceded 5 consecutive points early on by failing to secure side-outs, they quickly recovered by scoring 3 consecutive points following a great receive by Yamamoto.
Furthermore, they launched stable attacks thanks to serve receives by Tomita and Nakamoto, and Nishida also lived up to expectations by racking up points.
From there, they scored with blocks by Pong and others to reach 7-7, and successfully turned the game around to 13-12 as their defense-led offense began to function.
Towards the end, a seesaw game ensued where both teams traded points for a while. After taking a 23-22 lead following consecutive points off Brizard's serve, they conceded 3 consecutive points to lose the set 23-25.

Yamauchi started the set in place of Nishikawa.
The team struggled against the opponent's serves early on, giving up two sets of 3 consecutive points, but they continued to chase with a 3-point deficit while patiently securing side-outs.
Although Brizard scored with a two-attack at key moments, errors piled up, and Nishiyama was brought in for Nishida when the score reached 13-18.
Nishiyama ignited the team's momentum by scoring with aggressive spikes, and they gradually closed the gap with consecutive points following great plays by Tomita and others.
However, they were unable to catch up in the end and lost the set 21-25.

[Set 3]
Nishiyama and Bagunas were brought in as starters for this set.
Although they calmly accumulated points early on, they struggled against the opponent's serves and block-and-defense, conceding 7 consecutive points. They proceeded through the match looking for opportunities, including substituting Nakamura for Brizard midway through.
Even so, they closed the gap to 1 point at 12-13 with Bagunas's spikes as their defense functioned following Nishiyama's serve, and they successfully turned the game around to 19-18 by scoring breaks centered on Yamamoto's defense.
They fought tenaciously in the final stages, maintaining momentum with plays such as Pong scoring off Nakamura's skillful tosses, and Nishiyama led the team by slamming in powerful spikes to win the set back 26-24.

[Set 4]
They developed a stable offense from the start, leading to consecutive points with a service ace from Bagunas and spikes from Nishiyama.
They also effectively accumulated points by utilizing Yamauchi's quicks.
However, they conceded consecutive points in the face of the opponent's serves and offense from tenacious defense, allowing a turnaround to 10-11, and the point gap widened as the opponent scored consecutive points at key moments.
Still, they provided stable serve receives, and setter Nakamura toyed with the opponent using quicks to score, entering the final stages at 17-19.
In the final stages, they lost momentum all at once with 4 consecutive points conceded and were unable to catch up, losing the set 19-25 and the match with a set count of 1-3.

OSAKA BLUTEON now has 13 wins and 2 losses, with a total of 37 points.
