GAME 2 of Round 8 of the 2025-26 Daido Life SV.LEAGUE was held on Sunday, December 28, at Ookini Arena Maishima (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), where OSAKA BLUTEON (hereinafter referred to as Bluteon) faced the Suntory Sunbirds Osaka.

[Set 1]
We aggressively attacked with our serves from the beginning and controlled the game, but the opponent responded with their own serves, leading to consecutive points lost and a tense back-and-forth battle.
Midway through, we called a timeout after falling behind 10-12 due to errors in spikes and combinations.
Despite trailing, we regained our rhythm through Lopez's back-row attack and Nishida's block.
We then caught up to a 15-15 tie with a no-touch service ace from Tomita, but gave up consecutive points again to fall behind by three at 16-19.
In the final stages, we fought hard while utilizing substitutions, but lost the set 19-25.

[Set 2]
We deployed a diverse offense early on to secure side-outs, leading to a seesaw game where both teams traded points.
However, we were disrupted by the opponent's serves and pressured by their blocks, resulting in four consecutive points lost and a 9-12 deficit.
We continued to defend tenaciously to score in the middle of the set, but our serve reception was broken down and we were pressured by blocks, making it difficult to play our game.
At 13-19, we brought in Nishiyama and Nakamura to try and change the momentum, and we gradually regained our rhythm as Tomita scored off Yamamoto's toss and Nishiyama landed spikes.
However, we ultimately gave up consecutive points and lost the second set 16-25.

[Set 3]
We scored steadily at the start, but a difficult beginning saw us fall behind 4-8 after giving up five consecutive points.
At 7-11, we replaced Nishida with Nishiyama, and using Lopez's serve as a catalyst, we scored through Yamauchi's quicks and Brizard's spikes, closing the gap to 10-11 early on.
After that, we tenaciously attacked with serves and scored with blocks, successfully turning the game around to 17-16 with service aces from Evade-Dan and Nishiyama.
In the final stages, we played with even higher concentration, returning serve receptions accurately and launching repeated attacks to score.
Although the opponent reached match point, Lopez scored with a powerful spike, and we reached set point during a deuce battle fueled by Nishiyama's serves and our tenacity.
Lopez continued to lead the scoring, but we were ultimately disrupted by the opponent's serve and lost 27-29.

OSAKA BLUTEON now has a record of 13 wins and 3 losses, with a total of 37 points.
Our next match will be an away game against JTEKT STINGS Aichi on Saturday, January 3, at the Okazaki Central Park General Gymnasium.
