The AVC Men’s Champions League Japan 2025 quarterfinals were held at Shimadzu Arena (Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), where OSAKA BLUTEON (hereinafter referred to as Bluteon) faced Nakhon Ratchasima QminC (Thailand).

[Set 1]
The team found their rhythm early on with a service ace from Eiro, followed by consecutive points and a block by Nishida to take a 5-1 lead.
They continued to score effectively through Tomita's defense and blocks, and further extended the lead with another service ace from Nishida.
Tomita maintained his strong form by landing a powerful back-row attack, and even after the opponent called a timeout at 14-8, Bluteon continued to score by capitalizing on attacks initiated by defense led by libero Yamamoto and Tomita.
They consistently secured side-outs and took the set 25-18.

[Set 2]
The teams traded points early on, but Bluteon was caught by the opponent's high block, leading to consecutive points lost and a timeout taken while trailing 6-10.
Unable to stop the opponent's momentum, they entered the middle of the set trailing by five points.
Bluteon fought back with powerful spikes from Nishida and applied pressure with serves; Nishida's serving helped the team rally on defense, with Tomita finishing the plays to score consecutive points and narrow the gap to 13-16.
However, they conceded consecutive points again and were unable to contain the opponent with their previously effective blocks. Despite Otsuka entering the game late to attempt a comeback, they lost the set 21-25.

[Set 3]
The opponent, maintaining the momentum from the second set, used tenacious defense to launch attacks, forcing a difficult start, but Bluteon gradually regained their rhythm, starting with a service ace from Nishida.
After successfully turning the score around to 10-9, Coach Tili made tactical changes, such as substituting Nishikawa for Yamauchi.
Nishikawa lived up to expectations by scoring with a wide-range quick attack, and Lopez also played a central role in the offense. Nishida then landed a no-touch service ace to take a 16-14 lead.
They continued to add points to reach the final phase at 20-17, where Eiro's defensive play set up a spike by Lopez, shifting the momentum entirely in their favor to take the set 25-17.

[Set 4]
Nishikawa remained on the court for the fourth set.
Early on, Lopez became the focal point of the offense, scoring consecutive points to force an opponent timeout at 5-2.
Afterward, Nishikawa landed a service ace to extend the lead, and the team further widened the gap as their blocking and defense off the serve functioned well.
In the middle of the set, Eiro's setting was sharp, allowing the team to secure side-outs with good tempo. Bluteon dominated the match by utilizing substitutions to maintain their advantage.
They maintained their focus until the end, winning the set 25-15 to secure the victory.
